Have You Met? Events was recently featured in The Salt Lake Tribune in a story exploring a question at the heart of what we do: What happens when we give people more opportunities to get off the apps, show up in real life and actually meet each other?
The article, published September 19, follows founder Molly Bitton and the evolution of Singles Mingle Events, the Utah-based event series creating approachable ways for single adults to connect through shared experiences. From hikes and game nights to sports, social events and other activities, the focus has always been bigger than simply putting singles in the same room. It is about creating environments where conversation happens more naturally and people have a reason to keep showing up.
Nearly Two Decades of Creating Experiences
Bitton’s experience producing events began long before Have You Met? Events. She has been producing events since 2005, with her passion for bringing people together becoming even stronger following the pandemic.
Her work with Modern Expo later introduced her to the world of large-scale expos and gave her the experience – and confidence – to imagine what this approach to connection could become on a national scale.
That next chapter is Have We Met? Live, a three-day experience coming to Las Vegas in March 2027. The event takes the same fundamental idea behind the Utah events and expands it: create interesting things for people to experience together, make it easier to start conversations and give real-world connection room to happen.
The Tribune story also shares some of the personal experiences that shaped Bitton’s perspective on connection, including meeting her late husband, Derek, at Area 51 and the role community would later play in her own life.
What began locally continues to grow, but the purpose remains remarkably simple: give people more opportunities to meet in real life.
